The logistics roles we focus on
We work narrowly, on purpose. Here are the target roles we typically recruit for in NRW's logistics sector.
Warehouse and logistics specialist roles
Fachlagerist (Warehouse Specialist)
Goods handling, stock control and warehouse operations. Entry via direct employment with relevant qualification, or via Ausbildung.
Fachkraft fur Lagerlogistik
A more advanced warehouse logistics qualification covering planning, systems and quality control, usually requiring prior vocational training.
Coordination and planning roles
Logistics Coordinator / Disponent
Planning shipments, coordinating drivers and warehouse teams. Usually requires relevant experience and stronger working German.
Speditionskaufmann/-frau (Forwarding Agent)
Commercial and administrative side of freight forwarding. Typically requires a relevant qualification or demonstrable experience.
Driving and equipment roles
Warehouse Equipment Technician
Maintenance of warehouse and material-handling equipment. Requires a technical qualification, usually mechanical or electrical.
Berufskraftfahrer (HGV / Truck Driver)
A distinct profession from forklift operation, requiring a relevant driving licence and qualification. We treat this as a separate role, not a variant of warehouse work.
Training routes in logistics
Ausbildung is a structured, multi-year vocational training programme that ends in a recognised German qualification.
Ausbildung in Warehouse Logistics
Roughly three years, combining on-the-job training with vocational school, leading to a recognised Fachlagerist or Fachkraft qualification.
Ausbildung as Berufskraftfahrer
Vocational training toward a recognised HGV driving qualification, distinct from a basic driving licence.
Target roles are not automatically visa-eligible
A general warehouse-helper role, without a recognised qualification attached, does not normally meet the requirements of a skilled-worker visa route.
If your background fits a qualified role, an Ausbildung pathway, or a specific employer-sponsored route, we will explain exactly which one and why.
